Celebrating the Incredible People of Bushland Health Group

Aged Care Employee Appreciation Day gave us the perfect opportunity to stop and recognise the incredible people who make Bushland Health Group such a special place.

Across Alkira Lodge, Banyula Lodge and Karingal Gardens, our teams celebrated in their own unique way, with plenty of colour, laughter, costumes and fun. Alkira embraced an Everyday Superheroes theme, Banyula sparkled and shone, while Karingal Gardens filled the day with colour and a little circus-inspired fun.

But behind all of the celebrations was one very important message — thank you to our amazing staff.

Thank you for the kindness and compassion you show our residents each day. Thank you for the patience, reassurance and support you provide, often in the smallest moments that can mean so much.

Thank you for the laughs you share, the hands you hold, the conversations you make time for and the countless ways you help our residents feel comfortable, safe, valued and at home.

Thank you for supporting families, helping one another, stepping in when a colleague needs a hand and continuing to give your best even on the busiest of days.

From our care and clinical teams to leisure and lifestyle, catering, cleaning, laundry, maintenance, administration and every person working behind the scenes — each role contributes to the care and experience of the people who call Bushland Health Group home.

Aged care takes a team, and we are incredibly grateful for ours.

Our celebrations were also made even more special by residents joining in the fun, enjoying performances, presenting certificates and helping us recognise the staff members who make a difference in their lives.

To every member of the Bushland Health Group team across our three homes: thank you for everything you bring to work each day. Thank you for your dedication, your heart and, most importantly, for caring.

We hope Aged Care Employee Appreciation Day reminded you just how much you are valued — not only on this one special day, but every day.
