🎃 Residents and Staff Celebrate a Spook-tacular Halloween!

There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and a few friendly scares across our facilities this Halloween as residents and staff at Karingal, Alkira, and Banyula Lodge came together to celebrate in true spooky style.

Our homes were transformed with pumpkins, cobwebs, and colourful decorations, creating a festive atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. Residents joined in the fun by helping decorate, taking part in Halloween-themed activities, and sharing stories about their favourite costumes and Halloween memories from years gone by.

Staff embraced the spirit of the day, dressing up in a variety of creative costumes that brought plenty of laughter and excitement. One of our Leisure and Lifestyle team members even came dressed as a piñata, and residents had an absolute ball playfully "whacking" him with pool noodles. It was one of the highlights of the day—and we're happy to report that no staff were injured in the making of this Halloween fun!

Celebrations like these are an important part of life across all of our homes, creating opportunities for residents to stay connected, active, and engaged while sharing plenty of laughs together. Halloween was another wonderful reminder that you're never too old to enjoy a little spooky fun.
